Aaaaand I actually got to finish within a reasonable amount of time because it really interested me. Took me probably... 10 hours? But that's because there's something all wacky about my tablet. It's super sensitive I guess, so it's jumpy and simple things were suddenly hard. I used the regular mouse more than I have since I first got the tablet.

Btw you are viewing my very first attempts at incorporating textures. Two in the background and 2 on top I believe. Plus I played with brushes much more than I normally do. The blood is a combination of brushes and hand doodling.
Also, I feel this has a considerably larger amount of emotion than most of my work. A big weakness of mine. So I'm happy with that.

The same story/thoughts in my head when I was sketching that's listed under the sketch:
Violette used to be a very vain wolf with a perfectly white pelt. But Violette is a very bad girl. She murdered her lover, an Arabian Oryx, by stabbing him quite painfully all over before finishing off with his poor heart. Unluckily for her, her victim turned out to not be very forgiving. Before he passed he placed a curse on the wolf, mucking her lovely fur with his own markings and even placing his horns on her head.
Not only does she no longer have her beloved fur, but now whenever she tries to satisfy her vain instincts by gazing at her reflection, she is reminded of the life she so violently took. The constant reminders of her deed seem to be urging on instability and ultimately insanity.

This is Violette shortly after killing her lover. She's quite content with herself, and easily so because she hasn't yet realized that her fur is no longer a blanket of white.

Mature content for all the blood. And if it's your opinion that I did a poor job on the blood, keep it to yourself! It's more for emotion than for technical perfection.
